The AIDS Institute Bureau of Hepatitis Health Care and Epidemiology is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the first Annual New York State (NYS) Hepatitis C Elimination Progress Report meeting which will be held virtually from 10:00am to 1:30pm on May 10, 2023.
In November 2021, NYS released the NYS Hepatitis C Elimination Plan, which includes a set of recommendations that will lead the State toward eliminating hepatitis C as a public health problem by 2030. The plan includes targets and metrics that will be used to track NYS’s progress toward elimination.
This meeting will report on NYS’s progress toward reaching its elimination goals. Updates on programs, policy and other significant accomplishments will be shared in addition to the release of NYS and NYC elimination metrics. A panel of experts will discuss what more is needed to further advance elimination efforts within priority settings and reach the communities most impacted by hepatitis C.
