The AIDS Institute Bureau of Hepatitis Health Care and Epidemiology will host the first Annual New York State (NYS) Hepatitis C Elimination Progress Report. The meeting will be held virtually on May 10, 2023 in collaboration with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
One year ago, NYS released its Hepatitis C Elimination Plan. The plan includes a set of recommendations that will lead the State toward eliminating hepatitis C as a public health problem by 2030. The plan also includes targets and metrics that will be used to track NYS’s progress toward elimination.
This meeting will report on NYS’s progress toward reaching its elimination goals and will include a review of NYS and NYC elimination metrics and programmatic, policy and other significant accomplishments as well as a discussion of what more is needed to further advance elimination efforts.
